Dell XPS 12 (1,199$) The Dell XPS 12 is one of the most powerful netbooks available on the market right not. It is a touch screen convertible laptop which means that its screen can be rotated to make it a slate as well. It uses the Intel third gen i series micro processors, upto 8GB of DDR3 RAM and has integrated graphics. A bit on the heavy side, it is better as a laptop than a slate. HP Envy X2 (849$) The HP Envy series is known for its good looks. The screen of the HP Envy X2 can be detached and used as a tablet but the mechanism is a bit awkward. It is priced like most ultra books but is a bit heavy and only has the Intel Atom series of micro processors on offer, a major shortcoming. It also utilises an intergrated graphics system, but is relatively low powered at only 747MB. The HP Envy X2 uses 2 GB of DDR2 RAM. But it is just so stylish! MacBook Air 13 (1,600$) The MacBook Air really needs no introduction. The Aluminium body and super sleek design are both really great. And the MacBook Air is available with the latest Intel Haswell micro processors. On the flip side the Macbook Air isn’t a touch screen laptop. But still, it does its job really well. With the new Haswell processor the MacBook Air can give upto 8 hours of lifetime on wireless, truly making it an all day work machine.
