After the ban on several Chinese app and an extensive promotion of “vote for local’, many people want to know OnePlus origin country name, and they have been trying to find out if the smartphone brand will be banned in India soon. The OnePlus mobile phone company is a Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturer founded by Pete Lau and Carl Pei in December 2013. It proudly stands amongst the major Android smartphone companies and has operations in 34 countries and regions around the world, including India.According to reports, the major share of OnePlus is owned by BBK Electronics, a China-based company. BBK Electronics is also known to be the parent company of many other smartphone brands, including Oppo, Vivo, and many more.

Will OnePlus be banned in India?
OnePlus was banned in India in 2014 for selling rom selling its Cyanogen-based devices. But later the High Court and removed the ban and slowly OnePlus was able to capture a huge market share in India. 2020 was a little difficult the Chinese smartphone company owing to the raging anti-China sentiment in the country. However, the company clarified that it has been working hard to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities in line with the ‘Make in India’ initiative. OnePlus has been manufacturing its devices in India since February 2018.
