Price of Nvidia GeForce RTX 20 Series Desktop Graphic Cards
Similar to its traditional pricing strategy, the Nvidia RTX GeForce 20 series desktop graphic cards costs users much more than its predecessor. Nvidia RTX 2060, Nvidia RTX 2060, Nvidia RTX 2080 and Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti have been launched at an original premium price of $600, $800, $1,200 and $2,500 respectively. However, several third party makers are also selling the imitated GPUs with subtle tweaks for discounted prices starting $500. However, some of these prices may also go higher than that of Nvidia itself. But, in a rather pleasant surprise for RTX GPU fans, Nvidia announced a price slash for RTX 2060 to $350. The cheaper RTX desktop graphic card offers similar features to the other three but lower performance capabilities. While the Nvidia RTX 2060 is still not the cheapest graphic card in the market, it definitely offers great capabilities at its new price.
Key Features of Nvidia RTX GeForce 20 Series
The NvidiaRTX 20 Series is naturally more powerful than their counterparts in the previous gen. However, the RTX 2020 graphic card reportedly lagged behind the 1080 Ti in terms of 4K ultra gaming performance. But, on the overall Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 are at least 20 percent faster than RTX 1080 Ti and RTX 1080. Nonetheless, the strongest in the lot, Titan RTX have mostly found themselves confined to enterprise systems. In one of the most remarkable upgrades, RTX 2060 is easily the most worthy graphic card to buy in the RTX 20 series when compared to its processor. However, one also needs to remember that the performance is largely driven by the corresponding software and CPUs too. Moreover, the new GeForce 20 series RTX cards also offer better clock speeds and increase in CUDA cores. Additionally, the GDDR6 memory also works in favour of the series to enhance speed and bandwidth. Another important aspect of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 20 Series Desktop Graphic Card is the Ray tracing technology. The series features a specifically dedicated hardware for facilitating artificial intelligence and ray tracing. Consequently, it also enables better real-time reflections and anti-aliasing techniques in the games. Furthermore, the Nvidia RTX – GeForce 20 Series new cards also make possible DLSS or the Deep Learning Super Sampling to simulate higher resolution rendering. However, it is still a limited list of games that can support all these perks of the RTX 20 series graphic cards. Besides its many software upgrades, RTX has also made some exterior changes to its overall GPU including a second fan. It leads to cooler and quieter cards despite the higher power requirements. However, despite its many perks and high-end features, the Nvidia RTX GeForce 20 series desktop graphic card still seems too pricey considering most games don’t yet support its key features.
