Previously, BOE was caught cheating Apple, as a result, Apple asked BOE to immediately stop the production. However, the production has been resumed now and the company will use OLED display panels made by BOE in the upcoming iPhone 14 series.
How did BOE cheat Apple?
BOE has been a third supplier of displays for Apple’s older LCD iPhones for a long time. However, it started producing OLED panels for Apple with the iPhone 12. This year BOE was all set to pick up orders for around 30-40 million iPhones. Unfortunately, it was caught changing some of the specs on the OLED panels quietly, which was supposed to be supplied to Apple for 6.1-inch iPhone 13. After the news of cheating spread, it seemed like this incident would cost BOE iPhone 14 orders. However, it did not happen and the company has decided to use BOE’s OLED display panels in its upcoming iPhones. Also read: LG To Supply iPhone 14’s Front Camera to Apple

It will have a 120Hz refresh rate display and would support an 8K video. As per some analysts, the base storage of the iPhone 14 series could be 64GB. Talking about the price of the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Pro will be priced at $1099, and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be priced at $1199.
